HC Deb 22 February 1892 vol 1 cc903-4
SIR THOMAS ESMONDE (Dublin Co., S.)

I beg to ask the Postmaster General if he is aware that the recent closing of the Harold's Cross Post Office has resulted in great inconvenience to the neighbourhood, and how soon the office is likely to be re-opened?

SIR J. FERGUSSON

The sub postmaster of Harold's Cross (Dublin) resigned on the 15th ultimo, and the necessary steps for the revision of the salary were at once taken, as well as for finding a suitable successor. The office will be re-opened as soon as the new appointment has been made, but I cannot say how soon that will be.
