HC Deb 04 April 1892 vol 3 c594
MR. T. E. ELLIS(for Mr. J. E. ELLIS,) Nottingham, Rushcliffe

I beg to ask the First Lord of the Treasury whether he can state when it is proposed the House should adjourn for, and re-assemble after, Easter?

MR. A. J. BALFOUR

I can give no explicit or satisfactory assurances on the question of the Easter Recess as to when, and for how long, the House will adjourn at Easter. The House will remember that last year they separated, I think, on the Thursday before Good Friday, and met again for the transaction of important business on the Thursday of Easter week, thus having only a week's holiday. I hope we shall not be so much restricted this year; but that, of course, must partly depend upon the course of business between now and then.
