HC Deb 04 April 1892 vol 3 c567
COLONEL EYRE (Lincolnshire, Gainsborough)

I beg to ask the Secretary of State for War whether it is his intention to give effect to the recommendation of the Volunteer Medical Organisation Committee, 6th November, 1888, in Section 42, That the Medical Officers of the Volunteer Force should be placed on precisely the same footing as other Officers of the Volunteers regarding the distribution of honours and awards?

* MR. E. STANHOPE

If the Volunteers ever take part in active service in the field they will be entitled to the same honours as the Regular Forces; but otherwise the only rewards now open to them are in consideration of long and efficient service in command of a corps.
