I beg to ask the Under Secretary of State for the Colonies whether advices have been received that the Governor of South Australia has reached Adelaide from his trans-continental trip, viâ Palmerston; and whether, having regard to the important bearing of the visit, with reference to the development of the interior of the Colony of South Australia, Her Majesty's Government have any objection to lay the Governor's Report, when received, upon the Table?

In the absence of my right hon. Friend I have been requested to answer this question. The Governor has reported his return to Adelaide on the 23rd instant: all well; and when a Report from is received, the Secretary of State will consider whether it can be presented to Parliament.
