HC Deb 12 May 1891 vol 353 c562
MR. CLANCY (Dublin Co., N.)

I beg to ask the Postmaster General why the remuneration fixed by a Treasury Minute of July, 1890, for all indoor officers performing Sunday duty in the various departments of the Post Office has not yet been paid; when will it be paid; and when paid, will it be calculated as from the date of the Treasury Minute in question?

MR. RAIKES

In reply to the hon. Member, I have to state that the Minute referred to authorised additional payment for Sunday duty to sorting clerks and telegraphists, and I am not aware of a single instance in which the money has not been paid. If the hon. Member can mention any case in which it has not been paid I will inquire into it.
