HC Deb 12 May 1891 vol 353 c564
MR. MUNRO FERGUSON (Leith, &c.)

I beg to ask the Lord Advocate whether his attention has been called to the reversal by the Dingwall Quarter Sessions of the decisions of the Justices of the Peace for Lewis in regard to the Stornoway licences; whether he is aware that the people of Lewis are practically unanimous in desiring that those Stornoway licences should be withdrawn in the public interest; and whether he will propose some change in the Licensing Law?

SIR C. PEARSON

The Lord Advocate has no knowledge of the matters referred to in the question, and there is no present intention of proposing any change in the Licensing Laws.
