ESMONDE (Dublin Co., S.)I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland if he is aware that charges have been made against Police Officer James Curry, of the F Division of the Dublin Metropolitan Police, in connection with the action of "Smyth v. Madden and Curry"; and whether he will have inquiries made as to whether there is any foundation for these charges?
§ MR. A. J. BALFOURThe Commissioner of Police reports that no charges have been made against the police officer mentioned, except those referred to in previous questions put by the hon. Member in 1888. As then stated, the charges were groundless.
