MR. J. E. ELLISI beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland whether the Rules made by the Land Commission and now in force can be laid upon the Table in a classified and collected form?

BALFOURThe Irish Land Commissioners represent that the course suggested in this question would involve considerable trouble and inconvenience in the present pressure of their business, and that at an early date, upon Bills which are now before the House becoming law, it will be necessary to revise some of the existing rules, and to make new rules leading to a new codification. Perhaps, therefore, the hon. Member will defer his request for a little time. I will, however, confer with them further on the subject.
