HC Deb 18 June 1891 vol 354 c877

Considered in Committee.

(In the Committee.)

Clauses 1 and 2 agreed to.

Clause 3.

MR. ESSLEMONT (Aberdeen, E.)

rose to move an Amendment.

The Amendments of the hon. Member are outside the scope of the Bill.

Clause agreed to.

Bill reported without Amendment.

Motion made, and Question proposed, "That the Bill be now read the third time."—(The Lord Advocate.)

I do not rise for the purpose of objecting to the Third Reading of the Bill, but I think it right to say that we ought in fairness to have had an opportunity of discusssing this Bill before 12 o'clock at night. As, however, the measure embodies an improvement upon the existing state of things in regard to Parliamentary elections, I shall offer no resistance to the Third Reading.

Question put, and agreed to.

Bill read the third time, and passed.
