HC Deb 15 June 1891 vol 354 cc401-2

I beg to ask the Secretary of State for War whether he will state the number of soldiers quartered at Aldershot on 25th March, 1890, and on 25th March, 1891, and also the number in hospital on the same date?

As nearly as can be stated there were on the 25th of March, 1890, 13,564 soldiers quartered at Aldershot, and at the same date in 1891 there were 12,589. Of these there were in hospital 761 in 1890, or 5.61 per cent., and 636 in 1891, or 5.05 per cent.
