HC Deb 11 June 1891 vol 354 c148
SIR J. PEASE (Durham, Barnard Castle)

I had intended to ask the President of the Board of Agriculture if he can state the number of cases of outbreak of pleuro-pneumonia in Great Britain, the number of diseased cattle slaughtered, the number of healthy cattle slaughtered, and the amount of compensation paid and salvage received for slaughtered animals, since the carrying out of the orders has been in the hands of the Board of Agriculture; and whether he can state the similar figures for the corresponding period of last year, when the execution of the orders was in the hands of the Local Authorities? In the absence of the right hon. Gentleman I will postpone the question until tomorrow.
