HC Deb 01 June 1891 vol 353 c1375
MR. LYELL

I beg to ask the President of the Board of Trade whether any arrangements have been made for erecting a lighthouse on the Sule Skerry, off the North-West of Scotland; and, if so, what is to be the character of the light; and when will the work be begun?

THE PRESIDENT OF THE BOARD OF TRADE (Sir M. HICKS BEACH,) Bristol, W.

The Board of Trade have given their statutory sanction to the erection of a first order group flashing light on Sule Skerry, and it is expected that the work will be commenced this summer.
