§ MR. KEAY (Elgin and Nairn)I beg to ask the hon. Member for Penrith (Mr. J. W. Lowther) whether the Charity Commissioners have yet received a reply from the Governors of St. Paul's School to the allegations made by members of the Fulham Vestry and by the late Mr. James Beal; and whether he will communicate its purport to the House?
*MR. J. W. LOWTHER (Cumberland, Penrith)The Charity Commissioners have now received a reply from the Governors of St. Paul's School, which demands careful consideration. The 770 communications between the Commissioners and the Governors are lengthy and complicated, and it would be undesirable in the interests of the school that, in the present stage of the negotiations, they should be made public.
