HOWELL (Bethnal Green, N.E.)I had intended to ask the President of the Local Government Board if his attention has been called to the fact that the East London Waterworks Company, and other London Water Companies, have been charging on the new assessment, which came into force in April last, 771 increased rates for the three months preceding the date of such assessment coming into force; and whether this demand for such increase by the Water Companies is legal? At the request of the right hon. Gentleman, I beg to postpone the question.
