HC Deb 27 January 1891 vol 349 c1176
(5.20.) MR. LENG (Dundee)

Rose to move a Resolution standing in his name on the Paper.

*(5.20.) MR. SPEAKER

The hon. Member proposes To call attention to the Return presented to both Houses of Parliament in pursuance of section 4 of The Regulation of Railways Act, 1889; and to move for leave to bring in a Bill to limit the hours of labour of Railway Servants, and to confer certain powers on the Board of Trade. I am afraid that in the face of the decision of the House on Friday, it will be impossible for him to make that Motion. Further steps would first have to be taken to rescind the Resolution of Friday, which affirm that no Bill ought to be brought in giving powers to the Board of Trade. The hon. Member's Resolution would, therefore, be out of Order.
