HC Deb 27 January 1891 vol 349 c1146
MR. LLOYD-GEORGE (Carnarvon, &c)

I beg to ask the Secretary to the Treasury whether any, and, if any, hat, progress has been made with the negotiations for the lease of the Gwylwyn Sett Quarry, Pistyll, Carnarvonshire; and if a lease has been granted, what provision (if any) has been made to ensure the continuous working of that quarry?

THE SECRETARY TO THE TREASURY (Mr. JACKSON, Leeds, N.)

There has been some delay, and I am sorry to say the negotiations are not yet concluded, but the Welsh Granite Company have been requested to return the draft lease for engrossment by the 31st inst.; so I hope by the fend of the month that we shall have an answer accepting or declining.
