HC Deb 19 February 1891 vol 350 c1088
MR. COBB (Warwick, S.E., Rugby)

May I ask whether it is intended to proceed in Committee to-night with the Electors Registration (Acceleration) Bill, which is the Second Order on the Paper? The Government have undertaken to give ample notice of their Amendments before the Committee stage shall be taken, and I would urge that sufficient notice has not yet been given.

MR. RITCHIE

There is no intention of proceeding with the Bill to-night. In fact, having regard to some of the Amendments which have been put upon the Paper, it is extremely doubtful whether the Government will be able to proceed with it at any time.
