HC Deb 05 February 1891 vol 350 c13
MR. BRYCE (Aberdeen, S.)

I beg to ask the Under Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether it is the intention of Her Majesty's Government to take steps to carry out the recommendations contained in the recent Report of the Royal Commission of Civil Establishments, by which various changes in the organisation of the Foreign Office and Diplomatic Service have been suggested; and, if so, when a statement as to the changes intended to be made will be given to Parliament?

THE UNDER SECRETARY OF STATE FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS (Sir J. FERGUSSON, Manchester, N.E.)

Portions of the recommendations of the Commission have already been carried out. Others are under consideration. Full information will be given to Parliament whenever required.
