WATT (Glasgow, Camlachie)I beg to ask the First Lord of the Admiralty whether instructions have been issued prohibiting the enrolment of recruits for the Royal Naval Artillery Volunteers pending disbandment; and whether, having regard to the long service of this branch of the Reserve, he can now state his reasons for the proposed step?
§ LORD G. HAMILTONThe further enrolment of recruits for the Royal Naval Artillery Volunteers has been stopped, pending certain proposed organic changes in their present constitution. The reasons for such a change cannot be stated within the limits of an answer to a question.
