HC Deb 23 April 1891 vol 352 cc1168-9
MR. SUMMERS (Huddersfield)

I beg to ask the Attorney General whether he will call the attention of the Public Prosecutor to the case of "Evelyn v. Hurlbert," with a view to seeing whether sufficient evidence exists on which to base a prosecution of one or other of the parties to the suit for perjury?

SIR R. WEBSTER

In this case it is clear there must be the most careful investigation as to whether any or either of the parties can be convicted of perjury.
