HC Deb 23 April 1891 vol 352 c1152
MR. BRYCE (Aberdeen, S.)

I beg to ask the Under Secretary of State for India whether any correspondence on, the subject of the sale of opium in Burma and of granting licences for the sale thereof has passed between the India Office and the Government of India since the correspondence (closing with a telegram, dated 16th August, 1888) which was presented to Parliament in 1888; and whether, if such correspondence has passed, there will be any objection to presenting it to Parliament?

SIR J. GORST

No, Sir; there has been no correspondence on the subject since the telegram of the 16th of August, 1888.
