HC Deb 17 April 1891 vol 352 c896

Order for Second Reading read.

Motion made, and Question proposed," That the Bill be now read a second time."

MR. J. R. KELLY (Camberwell, N.)

The Bill has never been printed, and I object to proceeding with so important a Bill at this hour of the night. I beg to move the Adjournment of the Debate.

MR. HUNTER (Aberdeen, N.)

I would point out that this is a one clause Bill, and that it would be quite as easy to take the discussion oh the Committee stage as at present. One point is to enable a divorce to be obtained in case of desertion.

MR. F. S. POWELL (Wigan)

I hope the House will not continue a Debate on this important subject at this hour, The-Bill has not yet been circulated.

Debate deferred till Friday, 1st May.
