HC Deb 09 April 1891 vol 352 cc130-1
DR. CAMERON

I beg to ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether any decision has yet been come to as to the institution of a special public inquiry into all or any of those fatal explosions in iron works in the Glasgow district to which his attention was called by questions before Easter?

MR. MATTHEWS

The matter referred to in the question of the hon. Member is being carefully inquired into by the authorities of the Scotch Office, but these inquiries are not yet quite completed. If the hon. Member will repeat his question to the Lord Advocate on Monday next, he will, I hope, obtain a definite reply.
