§ MR. S. EVANSI wish to ask the First Lord of the Treasury whether, in view of the fact that Parliament has legislated separately for the Principality in various cases, and also of the importance of obtaining accurate statistical information for such legislation and for other purposes, the Government will take steps to secure that all Returns made to Parliament shall in future, so far as is practicable, give statistics for Wales and Monmouthshire under distinct and separate heads from those for England, as is now done in the cases of Scotland and Ireland?
§ *MR. W. H. SMITHI am not aware of the statistical information the hon. Member refers to, nor am I aware of any occasion for making a change in the form in which Returns are presented to the House. It is our desire to give the fullest information to the House as to every part of the United Kingdom.
