HC Deb 15 May 1890 vol 344 c962
MR. FLYNN

I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland if he can state on what date the last Report was supplied by Captain Johnstone, Inspector of Fisheries at Mallow, to the Board of Conservators of the Lismore District; and did it relate to the angling on the Banteer portion of the Blackwater River, and, if so, would he have any objection to furnish a copy of the last Report of Water Bailiffs Coffee and Murphy, made to Inspector Johnstone, relating to that portion of the river?

MR. A. J. BALFOUR

Boards of Conservators being Local Bodies the actions of their officers do not come within the cognisance of the Executive Government. I, therefore, regret that I am unable to supply the information sought by the hon. Member.
