HC Deb 08 May 1890 vol 344 c473
MR. WEBB (Waterford, W.)

I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland whether any decision has yet been come to regarding Mr. John Mackey, Sessional Crown Solicitor for Donegal, who, at Ramelton, on 29th March, admitted on oath having struck and wounded Mr. Hugh Hegarty with a naked sword, upon the suspicion that he had broken a pane of glass?

MR. A. J. BALFOUR

I understand legal proceedings are pending against this gentleman. The Government must await the result of those proceedings.
