HC Deb 08 May 1890 vol 344 c450
SIR GEORGE CAMPBELL

I beg to ask the Under Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs if the Representatives of Newfoundland have come to discuss the Fishery Question; if he has observed that Delegates have gone to Ottawa to try to enlist the aid of the Canadian Government; and if delay is occurring in consequence of Newfoundland appealing to Canada before sending Representatives to this country?

* SIR J. FERGUSSON

The Representatives of the Newfoundland Government have not yet started for this country, and will probably not do so until after the close of the Colonial Legislature, some time in the course of this month. No delay is occurring in consequence of other Delegates having gone to Ottawa.
