HC Deb 04 March 1890 vol 341 c1768
MR. BRADLAUGH (Northampton)

I beg to ask the Under Secretary of State for India whether he will lay upon the Table the Papers relating to certain disturbances and rioting in Rohtak, in the Punjab, in August and September last, and the Reports of the trial of certain persons accused in connection therewith, and of the appeal and judgment there on?

THE UNDER SECRETARY OF STATE FOR INDIA (Sir J. GORST, Chatham)

The Secretary of State has no Papers relating to the riot at Rohtak. The persons implicated were dealt with by the ordinary tribunals, and no Report of the trials or judgments would, in ordinary course, be sent to the India Office.
