SYDNEY BUXTON (Tower Hamlets, Poplar)I beg to ask the Under Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs when further Papers in reference to the proceedings of the Anti-Slavery Conference will be laid upon the Table; what action the Government propose to take to carry out the recommendations agreed on by the Conference; and whether the House will have the opportunity of discussing them?
§ *SIR J. FERGUSSONThe Papers will be laid before the House as soon after the conclusion of the Conference as possible. The measures requisite to carry out the recommendations of the Conference have not yet been decided upon, but will receive early consideration. There will, no doubt, be opportunities for discussion when the Papers have been laid.
