§ MR. BRYCEWill the right, hon. Gentleman inquire? This is a very serious matter, for it is reported in the Continental papers that more than 80 persons were killed.
§ SIR J. FERGUSSONAs I have previously explained, it is impossible for Her Majesty's Representatives to report 721 instantaneously on reports sent by telegraph to English newspapers. It is their duty to inquire into the accuracy of rumours before they report on them, as I am sure they will do in good time.
