HC Deb 09 June 1890 vol 345 c439

Order read, for resuming Adjourned Debate on Second Reading [29th April.]

MR. MAPLE (Camberwell, Dulwich)

If the House will agree to read the Bill a second time I will do my best to secure it being sent to a Select Committee, together with the Bill of the hon. Baronet opposite.

MR. ESSLEMONT (Aberdeen, E.)

I have a strong opinion against the Bill; but I should be content if it were submitted to a Committee upstairs.

SIR J. LUBBOCK

I hope the House will agree to refer the two Bills to a Committee.

MR. TOMLINSON

I object.

Debate further adjourned till Monday next.
