HC Deb 09 June 1890 vol 345 c331
MR. J. WILSON (Lanark, Govan)

I beg to ask the Lord Advocate whether it is lawful for Parochial Boards in Scotland (should they deem it expedient) to appoint a Roman Catholic chaplain in poor houses in Scotland, and to allow him a suitable remuneration; or whether it is illegal to appoint as chaplain any person other than a clergyman of the Established Church?

MR. J. P. B. ROBERTSON

I must ask the hon. Gentleman to postpone the question until Thursday.
