HC Deb 09 June 1890 vol 345 cc325-6
MR. FRASER-MACKINTOSH (Inverness-shire)

I beg to ask the Lord Advocate whether he is aware that considerable hardship is occasioned to litigants, compulsory officers, defaulting parents, and others in the Island of Skye, from having to travel great distances to attend the Sheriff Court at Portree; and whether he will order the revival of the former custom of the Sheriffs holding quarterly Courts at Uig, Dunvegan, Broadford, and other centres of population?

THE LORD ADVOCATE (Mr. J. P. B. ROBERTSON,) Bute

I have to inform the hon. Member that the matter he directs attention to in this question is at present receiving my attention.
