HC Deb 09 June 1890 vol 345 cc434-5

Order for Committee read.

Motion made, and Question proposed, "That (he Committee be deferred till tomorrow."—[Mr. Jackson.)

SIR W. HARCOURT (Derby)

I should like to ask what course the right hon. Gentleman means to take to-morrow. Supposing the Speaker leaves the Chair, does he propose to proceed with the clauses in Committee to-morrow?

THE PRESIDENT OF THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT BOARD (Mr. RITCHIE,) Tower Hamlets, St. George's

Yes, Sir; that is the intention of the Go—vernment.

MR. E. ROBERTSON (Dundee)

I should like to ask you a question, Mr. Speaker. I observe there are three or four Instructions put down on the Paper; one most important. I should like to ask whether they are in order or not?

MR. SPEAKER

It is unusual to ask a question of that kind until the Order is reached, and about to be proceeded with, but I may say that the instruction of the noble Lord the Member for Paddington is in order.

Question put, and agreed to.

Committee deferred until to morrow.
