Return ordered— As to the number of Premises licensed for the sale of Intoxicating Liquors for consumption on the premises, which have been purchased by the Metropolitan Board of Works, the London County Council, the Commissioners of Sewers of the City of London, the Corporation of the City of London, and the Corporations of the several Municipal Boroughs in England and Wales, during the ten years ended the 31st day of March, 1890, the amount of the purchase money paid in respect of the licensed premises in each case, and whether the licence so purchased was sold or transferred or was allowed to expire, and in the case of sale or transfer what consideration was or is to be received by the authority."—[Mr. Maclure.)
