HC Deb 24 July 1890 vol 347 c725
MR. LAWSON

I beg to ask the First Lord of the Treasury whether, in view of the evidence taken before the Royal Commission on Civil Establishments, it is proposed to continue the office of Receiver General of Inland Revenue?

* MR. W. H. SMITH

The subject is one that is now under the consideration of the Government, with a view to seeing how the duties performed by the late Receiver General may best be discharged with efficiency and economy.
