§ MR. SEXTONI beg to ask the Attorney General for Ireland with reference to a prosecution pending at the suit of the Irish Pharmaceutical Society against chemists and druggists in Belfast, whether any steps can be taken with a view to a postponement of this and any similar cases until the sense of Parliament has been fully ascertained in reference to the Pharmacy (Ireland) Act Amendment Bill, which was passed through the House of Commons, and is now before the other House of Parliament?
§ MR. MADDENThe prosecutions referred to in the question were not instituted by my directions, and appear to be at the suit of private prosecutors. I have, therefore, no power to interfere in the matter suggested in the question.
