§ MR. W. REDMONDI beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland whether Mr. Edward Atthill, of Advarney House, Ederney, County Fermanagh, who was arrested and lodged in Sligo Gaol on a charge of forgery, is a Magistrate for Fermanagh; and, if so, is he to be allowed to retain the Commission of the Peace?
§ MR. A. J. BALFOURI am informed that Mr. Atthill was not arrested on a charge of forgery, but was imprisoned for contempt of Court. The Report before me does not show when this occurred; but if the matter has not been already before the Lord Chancellor I have no doubt it will receive his consideration.
