I beg to ask the Secretary to the Treasury whether the Cable between Halifax and Bermuda is yet laid; and, if so, when it will be in operation?

The laying of the Cable from Halifax to Bermuda was completed a few days ago, and I understand that the line is now in operation. Telegrams were exchanged yesterday between the Treasury and its Representative in Bermuda within four hours.
