HC Deb 07 July 1890 vol 346 cc929-30
MR. ERASER-MACKINTOSH

I beg to ask the First Lord of the Treasury whether any Report, interim or final, has been received from the West Highlands and Islands Commissioners; and, if not, whether an effort to expedite the issuing will be made, so as to permit of legislation on the matters involved during the present Session?

*MR. W. H. SMITH

I have reason to believe that the Report of the West Highlands and Islands Commissioners will shortly be in the possession of the Government, who must consider it before they can decide upon the steps which may be right to be taken upon it.
