HC Deb 25 February 1890 vol 341 c1250

Ordered— That a Select Committee he appointed to inquire and report whether any alteration is required either in the provisions of 'The Merchandise Marks Act, 1887,' or in its administration, in order to prevent fraud by the use of an indirect indication of origin on imported goods, or their false marking after importation; and whether there is necessity for fresh legislation for prosecutions of offences against the Act."—(Mr. Howard Vincent.)
