§ MR. BRADLAUGHI beg to ask the Under Seccretary of State for India whether, as promised on the 15th August last, the attention of the Government has been called t) the grievances of H.H. the Chaudalin Maharani of Rewa; and, whether any, and what, answer has been received?
SIR J. GORSTWhat I stated on the 15th of August last was that the attention of the Government of India had been called to the Maharani of Rewa by the question of the hon. Member. A Memorial upon the subject was addressed by the Maharani to the Government of India on the 21st of January, 1890, but that Memorial has not yet been transmitted by the Government of India to the Secretary of State.
