HC Deb 17 February 1890 vol 341 c426
MR. CUNINGHAME GRAHAM (Lanark, N.W.)

I beg to ask the Secretary of State for War for what reason leave beyond the limits of the command continues to be withheld from the troops stationed in Natal and Zululand, and when it will be reopened?

MR. E. STANHOPE

I am not able to say when the ordinary conditions as to leave can be reverted to in Zululand. It is dependent on military considerations, as to which the general officer commanding in South Africa must be sole judge.
