MR. MATTHEWS

said: The reception given to the Reformatory and Industrial School Bill last Session was not such as to give much encouragement to its re-introduction. I will consider during the Recess whether it will be worth while to re-introduce it this Session in the same form as last Session or with some modifications, so as to make it more acceptable to the right hon. Baronet and his friends.
