SYDNEY BUXTONI beg to ask the Under Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether a reward of 10,000 rupees has been offered by the British Naval Authorities on the East Coast of Africa for the capture of the Sultan of Vitu; and, if so, whether Her Majesty's Government have given instructions that such offer should be withdrawn?
§ SIR J. FERGUSSONThe reward has been offered. The Sultan has not yet been captured, nor has he surrendered to take his trial, and the offer still holds good.
