HC Deb 02 December 1890 vol 349 cc346-7
MR. HOWARD VINCENT (Sheffield, Central)

I beg to ask the President of the Board of Trade if he has determined in what way he can give effect to the recommendation of the Select Committee on Merchandise Marks of last Session, as to the prosecution by the Board of Trade of offenders against the Act of 1887?

THE PRESIDENT OF THE BOARD OF TRADE (Sir M. HICKS BEACH, Bristol, W.)

I have determined to give effect to the recommendation of the Committee referred to by the hon. Member as to the prosecution of offenders against the Merchandise Marks Act of 1887; but the best way of doing so is still under consideration. I hope, however, shortly to be able to announce the decision arrived at in the matter.
