HC Deb 12 August 1890 vol 348 c722
SIR G. CAMPBELL

I beg to ask the First Lord of the Treasury whether if it is found inconvenient to discuss all the remaining Estimates at this late period of the Session, it would be possible to take them at a Sitting in the autumn, even after a prorogation, as is frequently done in the case of Supplementary Estimates, provided they are passed in the current financial year, and money for current expenses is obtained either from Votes already passed or by a Vote on Account?

MR. W. H. SMITH

The inconvenience to which the hon. Member refers must, I am sorry to say, be endured, as the Government have no intention of carrying over the Estimates till next Session.
