HC Deb 11 August 1890 vol 348 c511
SIR GEORGE BADEN-POWELL (Liverpool, Kirkdale)

I beg to ask the Under Secretary of State for the Colonies whether any conclusion has been come to as to the new form of Legislature for the Colony of British Guiana; and, if so, whether he can say, approximately, when the new Council will be constituted, and whether it is proposed to make provision that the new Council shall be presided over by some official other than the Governor?

THE UNDER SECRETARY OF STATE FOR THE COLONIES (Baron H. de WOEMS, Liverpool, East Toxteth)

The Secretary of State has not yet come to any decision which can be communicated to the House.
