HC Deb 16 April 1890 vol 343 c664

On the Motion for the Adjournment of the House,

MR. SEXTON (Belfast, W.)

May I ask the right hon. Gentleman the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant whether the Papers that have been granted with reference to the Land Purchase Bill are all that are to be issued?

THE CHIEF SECRETARY FOR IRELAND (Mr. A. J. BALFOUR,) Manchester, E.

No, Sir; they are not the whole of the Papers. Those that have been already granted show the operation of the various loans under the Land Act of 1868-9, and to-morrow will be issued further Papers containing tables illustrating the working of the Bill, the amount of the Guarantee Fund, and the present position of the Church surplus.
