HC Deb 09 May 1889 vol 335 cc1538-9
SIR GEORGE CAMPBELL

asked the Under Secretary of State for the Colonies, whether, now that the Bill to give Western Australia responsible government has been passed and is on its way home, he will take care that the Returns showing how and by whom land is held in that colony are produced in time.

THE UNDER SECRETARY OF STATE FOR THE COLONIES (Baron H. DE WORMS, Liverpool, East Toxteth)

Steps have been taken to procure the returns asked for by my hon. Friend the Member for Central Hull, and it is expected that they will be ready for presentation when the Western Australia Responsible Government Bill comes before the House.
